
DIMITRIOS PEZAROS

Dimitrios Pezaros is Professor of Computer Networks and director of the Networked Systems and Cyberdefence laboratories in the School of Computing Science at the University of Glasgow, where he currently holds the Dstl & CINIF / RAEng Research Chair in Digital Resilience for Critical National Infrastructure. He has received funding in excess of £20m for his research from UK, European and international funding agencies and industry, and has published widely in the areas of computer communications, network management and network resilience.
His research is focused on assuring the operation of future networked infrastructures through the exploitation of closed-loop and machine-learning-based monitoring and control algorithms, and using programmable networking and function virtualisation technologies.
Professor Pezaros holds BSc and PhD degrees in Computer Science from Lancaster University. He is a Chartered Engineer, a fellow of the British Computer Society and Institution of Engineering and Technology, and a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and the Association for Computing Machinery.
