Researcher
Jingjun Li is an Assistant Professor in Sustainable Transport at Edinburgh Business School, Heriot-Watt University. His research focuses on using simulation – particularly agent-based simulation – as a core method, integrating it with other approaches to develop a digital twin federation for more comprehensive assessments of transportation systems.
Jingjun earned his PhD from Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Belgium, with a thesis titled ‘Reducing Urban Private Vehicle Dependency With Shared Autonomous Vehicles – Agent-based Simulation As A Digital Testbed for Transport Policy Evaluations.’ Before joining Heriot-Watt, he was a Postdoctoral Researcher at Delft University of Technology, contributing to the XCARCITY project aimed at generating a digital twin federation to support cities towards fewer private vehicles.
