November 10

The London Conference 2025

London 2030 – a net zero capital?

The next five years are critical for the city. With the Labour Party leading the government, City Hall and majority of London’s boroughs, opportune political alignment should bring long term and impactful policy – we can and must deliver long-lasting change.

The London Conference 2025 – a cornerstone of the capital’s public policy calendar – will be held on Monday, 10 November. This year, London Conference will ask, can London reach the city’s 2030 net zero target while maximising inclusive economic benefit?

We will be exploring the following three themes:

  • Ecosystem: Green infrastructure which enhances the urban environment through increased biodiversity, renewable energy use, carbon sequestration and storage, and flood risk management. We will discuss how to reduce carbon emissions while preserving and improving the capital’s natural assets.
  • Infrastructure: Leading the conversation on the city’s infrastructure and transport needs. We will set out what is needed to improve the quality, capacity and resilience of London’s utilities.
  • Adaptation: From our homes and infrastructure, to building resilience into our environment and systems. We will explore how we can futureproof our city in the face of a 2°C+ future.
